SMS & Messaging Policy

Text messages are used sparingly on Zepfolio, always tied to work you asked for. This policy explains what we send, how you stop it, and the rules for companies texting their own customers.

Consent

We text you only after you give a phone number and agree to receive messages — for example when you accept a workspace invitation, turn on text alerts, or ask for a sign-in code. Consent is never a condition of buying anything, and we do not share your number with anyone for their own marketing.

What we send

  • Sign-in and account security codes.
  • Workspace invitations and password resets.
  • Operational alerts you enabled: schedule changes, dispatch assignments, approval requests, time-off decisions.
  • Occasional service notices, such as planned maintenance or a billing problem.

Message frequency varies with your work. Most people receive only a few messages a week.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to end texts to that number, or HELP for assistance. You can also turn text alerts off in your notification settings. Security codes required to sign in may still be sent when you request one. Opting out of texts does not remove you from the platform or from email notices.

Costs and carriers

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Delivery depends on your carrier, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

If your company texts its customers

Companies using Zepfolio to text their own customers, crews or vendors are the sender of those messages and are responsible for following the law, including the TCPA and carrier requirements. That means:

  • Collect clear, provable consent before texting anyone, and keep a record of it.
  • Identify your company in the message and state how to stop.
  • Honor STOP requests immediately and permanently for that number.
  • Send only work-related messages — appointment confirmations, arrival notices, quotes, invoices, receipts — not unsolicited marketing blasts.
  • Respect quiet hours and local restrictions.
  • Never text sensitive information such as full card numbers, bank credentials or medical detail.

We may suspend messaging for any company that generates complaints or violates these rules, as described in the Terms & Conditions.

Privacy

Phone numbers and message logs are handled under the Privacy Policy. Numbers are used to deliver the messages described here and are passed only to the messaging providers that carry them.
